Class Descriptions

Beginning Yoga

Susan has a strong desire to share the practice of yoga with beginning students. She breaks the movements down, and guides the student step by step for the student's comfort. This class is geared towards stress relief and relaxation, as Susan demonstrates breathing techniques and stretching movements for all parts of the body.

 

Intermediate

In this vinyasa flow type class, Susan guides the student through dynamic movements synchronized with breathing techniques. It is necessary for the   student to be familiar with basic yoga moves. This challenging hour concides with restorative meditation.

 

Yoga for Joint Care

Susan utilizes her certification in Yoga Therapy by intergrating gentle yet challenging movements specifically targeting problematic area of the students. She leads the group in therapeutic postures, breathing techniques, and visualization exercises which are beneficial in reducing pain and allowing greater flexibility and range of motion. She invites students of all levels to participate in this rejunvenating class.

Yoga for Golfers (Men Only)

Susan is the only certified Yoga for Golfers instructor in Chattanooga. She is currently working with a group of dedicated golfers who have experienced firsthand the benefits of strength, flexibility, improved sense of balance, and most importantly, reduction of back and shoulder injury. This energetic class is FUN and golfers are shaving strokes off their score cards!

Susan is available for the following Yoga for Golfers Workshops:

  • Golf Tournaments (Warm-up and cool down expos)
  • Golf Schools and Camps (Children)

 

Yen Yoga

As Chattanooga's first Yen Yoga teacher, Susan can demonstrate the importance of exercising the connective tissue surrounding the joints, this gentle, meditative practice emphasizes long held poses coordinated with relaxing breathing techniques.   This soothing form of meditative yoga is suitable for people of all ages.
