Yen Yoga:
Yen Yoga concentrates on exercising the connective tissue that surrounds the joints in the body. Connective tissue has much lower water content than muscles, so it takes much longer to become pliable. After years of neglect and abuse, the connective tissue becomes "shrink-wrapped" and needs to be stretched gently in a long held poses without muscular contractions. This is a very gentle, meditative type of yoga that is suitable for almost anyone. 1 hour class time
